Zadar County Rural Development Agency (AGRRA) is a public institution established by the County of Zadar (administrative subdivision of the Republic of Croatia). Its aim is informing, coordinating and implementing the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 and strengthening the financial and human resources of regional and local self-government and organization of the institutions for rural policy and rural development as well as their active involvement in the design and implementation of rural development.

So, the main AGRRA’s activity is development of Zadar County rural area constituted of 28 municipalities and 4 cities (more than 92% of the Zadar County area is rural). AGRRA coordinates and implements the activities related to Zadar County rural development and follows national and EU strategies with the aim to harmonize legislation on regional and local level with the agricultural and rural development policies.

Over the years, AGRRA has built a solid team with vast expertise in different sectors (international relations, agriculture, fishery, finance, project management…), so to consolidate a multidisciplinary approach and build a vast partners’ network which includes private and public entities: SME’s in different sectors, universities, Chamber of Commerce, regional development agencies and other. As lead applicant or partner in many projects, AGRRA has always offered new and innovative solutions in many fields.

Agricultural, Food and Veterinary School Stanko Ožanić started working on 1st of September 1992.

During 1995/1996 Ministry of Education and Sports adopted a decision whereby the school is entitled to re-qualify and approve the agricultural, food and veterinary professions as well as to organize apprenticeships.

The following programmes are offered: agricultural technician – in general, agricultural technician – phytopharmaceutical, agroturist technician, florist, nutritionist, technician – nutritionist, veterinary technician, assistent florist, assistent baker, baker and butcher. Additionally the school seeks to alert its students about need for organic food production due to market demand and the health benefits of the total population.

Within school year 2016/2017, based on the expressed interest of the Croatian Employment Service and growing and increasing needs of the County of Zadar, the school introduced new programmes – namely adult education for beekeepers and olive growers. The school has 332 students in 18 departments with 64 employees out of which 54 teachers, 3 expert associates and 7 administrative workers and assistent staff.

Trebag Intellectual Property and Project Manager Ltd is a Hungarian private company and living lab with a huge network of stakeholders and actors in the VET sector, both locally and regionally. The company was established in 1989 as a German-Hungarian company. Since 1994, the owners of TREBAG Ltd are Hungarian private persons.

Hungarian Chamber of Professionals and Doctors of Plant Protection is one of the professional chambers in Hungary and it operates on the basis of the principles of self-governance, as a public body of the plant protection engineers and plant doctors. The chamber organizes and manages some public functions related to plant protection engineering activities. It supports the professional faculty so that it can contribute to a high-quality management of agricultural production, and the development of plant health culture in Hungary.

It represents and protects the plant protection faculty authority – the general professional interest of the members and bodies – in issues related to plant protection engineering. In addition, it also actively participates in the preservation of food safety and plant health safety in Hungary and provides protection against unauthorized activities.
